Rules and Guidelines

General Rules
  • Abstracts must be original and not previously published or presented at other meetings
  • No changes can be made to an abstract once it has been submitted
  • Multiple submissions from the same presenting authors will be rejected
  • Identical submissions from different first authors will also be rejected
  • Research involving human participants or animals must comply with internationally recognized ethical standards and institutional approval requirements
  • At least one author of each accepted abstract must register for and attend the conference to present the work
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information (names, affiliations, spelling, etc.)
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the official CEECFNA Abstract Book (online)
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI tools may only be used for language editing and improvement. AI must not be used to generate the initial draft of an abstract, and authors must carefully review any AI-assisted revisions and take full responsibility for the scientific accuracy of the submitted content.
  • Researchers aged 35 years or younger are eligible to participate in the Young Scientists Session. During submission via the official online submission platform, applicants are required to select the option “Young Scientists Session”
  • Selected abstracts will be presented orally within the Young Scientists Session; all other accepted abstracts will be allocated to poster presentation
Abstract Format and Submission Guidelines
  • All abstracts must comply with the following requirements:
  • Maximum length of 300 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations), submitted via the official abstract submission template
  • Written in US English
  • Structured to include: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions
  • The title of the contribution, the name(s) of the author(s), and their institutional affiliation(s) must be provided; the presenting author must be clearly identified (e.g., by underlining); Affiliations must include the full name of the institution, city, and country; In the case of multiple institutions, numerical superscripts should be used to link authors to their respective affiliations
  • References, figures, and tables are not permitted
  • Abbreviations should be defined at first mention
  • Abstracts must be submitted via the official online submission platform; submissions sent by email will not be accepted
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission

Presentation Guidelines for the Young Scientists Session

  • Oral presentations within the Young Scientists Session will be 10 minutes in total (6 min. presentation + 4 min. discussion), including time for discussion
  • Presentations must be delivered in English
  • Speakers are requested to upload their presentation files in advance according to the technical instructions provided by the organizers
  • Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint or PDF format
  • Files should be named as follows: CEECFNA_LastName_FirstName
  • Speakers are required to respect the allocated presentation time
